Frederick Southwick, MD, is a graduate of Yale College and Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. He served as the Chief of Infectious Diseases at the University of Florida for 19 years. He has been an active NIH funded biomedical investigator for 30 years, studying how bacteria interact with the human host, and has published over 100 peer-reviewed research papers.
Gautam Kalyatanda, MD, is associate professor of Medicine in the Infectious Diseases Division University of Florida College of Medicine and the course director for the fourth-year medical student Infectious Disease elective, one of the most popular and highly rated electives in the College of Medicine.
