A lover of mysteries, Surrealism, and Virginia Woolf, Robert Archambeau fled the Canada of his childhood to study literature and work as an antiquarian bookseller in Chicago. Since then he has written art and literary criticism, poetry, and the novel Alice B. Toklas is Missing. Obsessed with tweed jackets, art collecting, and poking around in antique shops and historical novels. He chairs the English department at Lake Forest College.
