Armen Melikian (n. 1963) es Master en Relaciones Internacionales por la American University de Washington, D.C. También ha estudiado matemáticas en la Universidad de Harvard, y fue admitido por el Instituto Matemático de la Universidad de Oxford para seguir estudios de grado en geometría analítica, física matemática y topología. Finalmente abandonó la política y las matemáticas en favor de la literatura y dedica su vida a escribir. Melikian vive actualmente en Los Angeles, EEUU.
