The Special District of Buenaventura is a strategic space for the international and local commerce of the Colombian people who for years have selected it as the main port of the country. It is also a land rich in fauna, flora, forestry, artisanal and commercial fishing.The Afro-Colombian and native communities settled in this place, for a long time have maintained their ancestral culture the conservation of the territory's natural habitat.However, when analyzing the situation of the population, the panorama is not very encouraging, that is why it is important to know what has been the contribution of the territorial, regional and local entities in the solution and improvement of the living conditions of the inhabitants, whose weight falls on the public policies designed by the leaders.
