I will not take lightly or gloss over the times in my life when I have prayed during times of difficulty, exhaustion, frustration, chaos, and challenges. I have been in the space of trying to pray while learning of the death of love ones. Health scares. Financial lack. Relationships. Business uncertainty. Ministry. Questions. Doubts. Life. Yet, even in those times, I can truly say that I have witnessed God's hand more powerfully upon me in those seasons which turned into watching Him beautifully paint a picture of my life as in a mirrored reflection of Him. I'll begin with a story that took place during a Sunday morning in the spring of 2019. To be transparent let me share that I was a mess.
