Born in Lancashire, England, I attended Notre Dame Grammar School. Later I helped form a four-girl Skiffle group (The Ladybirds) and later became a solo performer. I moved to Canada after marrying and worked in various offices and took several business courses. I worked as Training Supervisor for Columbia Records in Don Mills, executive secretary to the president of Sayvette Department stores, then as National Sales Coordinator for Air of Canada. As a sideline in Toronto I formed a 12-piece dance band performing as vocalist and banjo/guitarist. Skyline Hotels offered me a long term contract and I performed as both the Pearly Queen and Diamond Lil for 12 years in Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto. It was during this period that my love for writing again surfaced, My memories and past experience help me write on diverse subjects and I am a prolific reader. Memories of things in my eventful life are helpful. Catherine Cookson is my inspiration as I love her down to earth stories. When I left the entertainment, I worked as the partner and vice-president for Epsylon Energy Management Corp., Now, I enjoy my free time writing!
