The book addresses the important relationship between the covenants of the Old Testament and the sacraments of the New Testament. From years of experience, it seems that the sacraments of Christ are not well understood in terms of their purpose, their importance in our daily lives, or for the reasons that Christ instituted them. Christ baptizes with the Holy Spirit and with fire. Christ instituted baptism for our public acceptance of Him; He instituted the Eucharist for our remembrance of Him. The sacraments also relate to all the great doctrines of Christianity. Our constant attention to the sacraments will bring us ever closer to God.
