Once on the other side, the men are sent to work in the strawberry fields and the women are forced into prostitution. Salvina is one of his favorites. Every so often, he sleeps with her and gives her permission to spend nights with El Chino, who turns out to be good at business. So El Gringo loosens the reins little by little and brings him on board along with his cousin Luciano, until they gain his trust and then kill him.
